Dear Jane and all the staff,

I would just like to thank you for all the care that you gave to Colin over the four months he was with you. He said he was happy and that for the family was everything that we could have asked for and proved that Neil, Jo and I made the right choice when deciding where Colin should be after his stay in Frimley Park Hospital.

I should also like to say a big thank you for all the kindness you all showed to me, it made a difficult time easier knowing there would be a smile and a few kind words from every member of staff I saw.

As a thank you to the staff from the family we have, at your suggestion, purchased some garden furniture for you all to use when on your tea breaks, residents also if they venture outside.

It should be delivered next week to me and I will bring it down, in flatpack form for Paul to assemble please, and hope it will be of use.

As you know Colin's funeral was a chance for all his many friends to say goodbye and we have appreciated all the cards and letters we have received over the last few days.

Dear Matron,

Thank you for all the dedicated care and attention you and your staff at Marlborough House gave to our mother Evelyn during her short stay with you, no one could have done more for her.

We all do appreciate the thoughtfulness and affection that was shown to Mum and to us, her family, during those difficult last few days.

Thank you seems such a small word.
