Berehill House - See What people say about us

A Poem by a Resident

I came to Berehill Residential Home on the 26th of September
Welcomed in by Sue and Liz, a day I'll always remember.
Questions to answer whilst eating my lunch
Then off to the lounge to meet an odd bunch.
Someone called Chris was doing a dance
So good I thought 'he's a champ!'
'Had I come to a nursing home' I thought
Or Butlins Holiday Camp?
I found a seat beside Cathy.
She said "It's nice to have somebody new"
"Oh, put your glasses on" I said
"I'm nearly as old as you!"
Hours soon changed into varied days
I must say that are full of caring praise
Some oldies go miles each day on their walkers
They build up healthy appetites, and eat like piggy porkers!
I'd like to say thanks to our clever chef
who made my birthday cake
Ninety six candles were put on the top
So many wishes to make.
The place and gardens are lovely
All the caring staff truly grand
So God bless you all and keep each one
In the palm of His loving hand.

Love from Alice Clifton
